This keychain is milled from reclaimed planks taken from the historical Yemassee Train Depot era, where every Marine recruit from 1915–1965 first stepped onto Marine Corps soil. Laser-engraved with the Belleau Wood Tavern insignia and “Yemassee Heritage Wood – Former USMC Transit Depot,” this piece connects you to the very barracks where recruits spent their first night—anxious, excited, and unsure of what was coming next. For half a century, more than half a million recruits walked these floors before being transported onward—first by rail to Port Royal, then by boat to Parris Island. Every grain in this wood carries the silent stories of those who would soon earn the title Marine. Includes Certificate of Authenticity. Only available during this Kickstarter.
